A couple of weeks ago we introduced a new discussion forum to the DMU Commons. It uses the Discourse Forum system, and is a space in which students and staff at DMU can talk about topics that are related to their learning activities, or anything that they are generally interested in. To use the system you need a DMU student or staff username. There are apps that you can load onto a mobile device for both Apple and Android, so it’s pretty accessible. At the moment I’m learning how the system works, and as it builds more discussions and users I’ll get a better sense of what will drive its development.
