A pupil at Longfield School in Melton Mowbray has reportedly been involved in a traffic accident. According to the Melton Times “A 15-YEAR-OLD schoolboy suffered multiple injuries after being hit by a car in Melton yesterday (Thursday). The incident happened in Leicester Road, near Marshall Land Rover, at about 3.50pm.”
During the recent schools reorganisation that led to the closure of King Edward VII school many parents expressed concern that traffic on Leicester Road was excessive and that the route is not suitable for large numbers of students.
